I discovered more upcoming books!

  1. Princess Diaries 10 (apparently 9 came out last year xmas in America and I didn't know)
  2. Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox
  3. Lady Friday (already came out but I haven't read it)
  4. Superior Saturday
  5. Lord Sunday
  6. Maximum Ride series (I haven't gotten a chance to catch a glimpse at all!)

Enough about books. Back to school...

I finally presented my IH presentation today. Well, it was fine but a little too long. Cassandra was getting a bit distracting with her scribbles on the powerpoint slide but I think we did fine. Nevertheless, I think we could have better improved on it. Thanks especially to Pei Ling for putting in so much of your opinions and our entire project was based mostly on your ideas! Fire drill was enjoyable with you too because you entertained me with your many 'leng' jokes. I'm was practically shivering under the hot sun.

Cikgu Noridah left us today. She has really been a great teacher even though I missed many of her lessons because of competition. I must admit that I don't really pay much attention to her all the time but she has really been very patient with us. Thanks for the kueh and donut from donut factory! I'm kind of sad that I didn't get to eat the oreos though): Never mind, I suppose it's just my glutton instinct kicking in.

It has been a rather eventful day. So eventful that the homework pile has accumulated with the events. HAHA:D
BOOKS!

I don't know why but I'm recently VERY into books. I think Cheryl's wonderful suggestion of buying me a book for my birthday has rekindled the passion for books in ME!

Top 10 list of books I must have THIS YEAR:

  1. BREAKING DAWN (but of course!)
  2. BRISINGR (another must-have!)
  3. HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE (I really loved the movie!)
  4. CASTLE IN THE AIR (how can I miss the sequel where Howl and Sophie get married?)
  5. PERCY JACKSON'S LATEST BOOK (not sure if it's coming out this year but if it does, it makes this list!)
  6. JINX (I read it halfway in Kinokuniya)
  7. PRINCESS DIARIES LATEST BOOK (not sure if it's coming out this year too but nvm!)
  8. KITE RUNNER (I heard it's REALLY good)
  9. AVALON HIGH 2 (it's in comic version but I really hope there's a nice plot!)
  10. THE HARRY POTTER ENCYCLOPEDIA (it's supposed to come out soon but I don't know when!)

Actually, I'm totally into many more books. But I just want to OWN those above! I love books but I'm not a bookworm.
INVESTITURE!

It was INVESTITURE TODAY! I know I look really weird with my hair pinned up but NO CHOICE. And I turned the wrong way AHHH. Ok I did try to SMILE. Finally it's over. I'm VERY GLAD. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVELYN!

Yay next week I have latecoming duty then I will not have anymore duty for term ONE! JIAYOU for match against TANGLIN! We will WIN! I have no idea why I'm getting all enthusiastic and hyped up for the match. Well, since we have friendly against HC tmr might as well work hard too.

I do NOT want to go for U19 trials. It's C-R-A-Z-Y. I would rather U17 but even then I'm reluctant.

I'm very pleased that finally someone has asked me what I actually/ REALLY REALLY WANTED! Thanks Cheryl (and Evelyn too since you both are sharing) for offering to buy me a book for my birthday AHAHAHA! A BOOK! YIPPPEEEE! I'm dying for books.

ESPECIALLY BREAKING DAWN! I know I'm getting very obsessed over Stephenie Meyer's books but I'm really really sad that it will end at breaking dawn (4th book). That's even shorter than Harry Potter and I was already so sad about Harry Potter ending!

Haha Cheryl if you're reading this don't WORRY! I have thought of SOME books. While you could buy Meg Cabot's books for me (jinx) or kite runner or some other book in kinokuniya at the popular section. I can't remember the name but there are lots of them that I want to buy there! HAHA
BIRTHDAY!

Thanks for all your presents and the cake from CSS. I wasn't quite expecting it.

I don't really feel especially special during my birthday. I don't really mind if you don't give me anything honestly. It is really just another day.

I'm just angry with myself for throwing away so many balls till the goal difference was THREE today. UGH.

This is going to appear so cryptic but never mind: I totally realise good things and bad things now. The distinction is so very clear.

Thanks for the birthday gifts again! I do appreciate them...
NUMBNESS MAYBE?

I do remember vividly at the beginning of the year that I was beginning to get tired of everything for a period of time. I was getting tired of having to work real hard to maintain my results (which sad to say, I still failed to do it); I was getting tired of going for trainings which became meaningless before zonals (because that time we didn't do courtwork at all but just drills and zonals were just round the corner); I was getting tired of having to stay back after school while everyone else gets to go home. I just had that thinking implanted in my head- that it was unfair. that I was wasting precious time to complete my homework or study or RELAX.

But today, school was SUPPOSED to end at 1215 ( I say "SUPPOSED" because for me it wasn't the case). Investiture is coming so we had to rush the guestbook and souvenirs and surprisingly I just went. Of course, the-wasting-of-precious-time thought was constantly springing up in my head at the beginning but I just forgot about it. Before I had realised it, the time was 1830. I had actually stayed for 6 hours? "Incredulous" would have been the word that was on my mind if that was the situation I was in a month ago. But I just felt nothing. Just complained a little about my homework load and headed home.

Is this really what it's like? How people feel numb about overwhelming things after a while? This is both a good and bad sign. Numbness can prevent you from the pain but sometimes the pain keeps you going. Now where's all my motivation going to come from?

But somehow, deadlines will keep me back on track. They always make me panick.
FINALLY...

You must have been wondering why I have not been posting for so long that this blog belonged among the dead corpses in cemeteries. I've been really busy especially because of CHINESE NEW YEAR. It was the usual visiting of relatives and friends and I had actually been out of my house practically the whole day during all 4 days of CHINESE NEW YEAR.

Zonals round 2 matches are coming. JIAYOU NANYANG NETBALL! Let's go way way way further!
Council Investiture is coming. JIAYOU RECEP COMM! We can finish the guestbook on time!
More deadlines are coming. UGH.

I just discovered something interested. I never knew my cousin actually plays audition. HAHA.

Life goes on as always, like a never-ending stream... Sometimes it's just hard to keep updating while you are going through the different parts of the stream you know.

There's finally a break coming.

A time to take a breath.

Relax from a whole month of school; a whole month of hectic lifestyle.

I'm looking forward to CNY. Yet, I can't help feeling my stomach sink when I think about what's going to come AFTER it. Got to stay optimistic though.

I'm recently fascinated with bahasa istana after malay lesson on monday. It makes you feel like royalty. HAHA.
