NETBALL CHALET
I just came home after chalet and I'm extremely exhausted. It was quite a fun experience though. On the first day, we went to the beach. When we arrived at the bungalow, I personally found it creepy that all the seniors immediately took out the mahjong table and started playing it. I was thinking that people wouldn't start playing mahjong so early or the whole time they would spend it playing mahjong which can drive people mad and make them addicted. So we went to the beach and it was kind of low tide. Zhengliang was extremely excited about building her first sandcastle (LOL. I mean, how old is she already?) Anywhere we just built it with her and played a little in the waves. We didn't go that close to the sea because it was rather dirty (and because of that I was so motivated to do environmental stuff that I'm even considering a job in that field next time). Then, we started drawing and writing in the sand with twigs. And Hoon took photos of them although it wasn'that clear. After that, most of the rest went off, leaving Cheryl, Zhengliang, Hoon and I to explore the rock pool! As it was low tide we could just climb on the rocks and poke here and there with our twigs. Cheryl was extremely fascinated with the empty oyster shells that she wanted to find one that wasn't empty. We poked up loads of seashells which Zhengliang and Hoon took (Zhengliang took TOO MUCH). Then we started posing for photos. This is really rare of me but we pretended to be super old and used the twigs as canes. Seriously, it was so hilarious that I agreed to take a picture. Then Cheryl took pictures with twigs that looked like antlers and she posed like a reindeer or something. It was soooooo funny too. The branches were so huge and long and she complained that it was too heavy. Dinner was spaghetti. Then we slept real late at night because we were all holed up in the kitchen and was called The Kitchen Gang. Then the seniors came in and talked with us which I think was really a very rare opportunity. They are very funny honestly and as we all agreed, changed our impressions of seniors. We just kept talking and talking and talking till like 3 am before going to sleep.
On the second day, we decided to go out to buy more food because our supplies were running out. Isn't that supernaturally fast? So we took the shuttle bus out of the chalet and then took the train to Tampines so that we could go to Tampines Mall. It turned out though that we took ANOTHER shuttle bus to the 3 megastores in the East- Giant, Ikea, Courts. Shopping at Giant was fun, I guess but I spent like $4.30 on this bag of toblerones and then they were gone the next day. I guess I should spend my money on more practical stuff like biscuits which will last longer. There's a lessons learnt there. Then, on our way back, we were rushing for the earliest shuttle bus so instead of taking the one back to Tampines station, we took to Bedok station (a little backtracking). Then, when we reached the station, we were chiong-ing for the next earliest shuttle bus to the chalet and were running about with our groceries. You can imagine the noise and stares we got when we were running about in our flip-flops which created a lot of sounds and running in such a BIG group. Then, we had steamboat at night and we only started eating at 9pm. Hoon and I became the marathon eaters when we started drinking Tom Yam soup and finishing a senior's bowl of unwanted instant noodles. We simply ate too much that we had to go for a night stroll to enhance our digestion.
Third day, we just laid around in the chalet feeling hungry and eating up all our snacks. Then we had a picnic at the beach! This time almost everyone was there. It was high tide this time and the water was way cleaner. We poked a bit in the rocks when the tide went down a little and then we played LOADS in the waves! We saw loads of marine wildlife such as the crabs on the rocks, creatures hiding in shells that we found along the shores and Cheryl found her beloved oyster (LOL)! Zhengliang started kicking waves and splashing everyone else so Cheryl and I joined her and we all got wet. It's quite fun and you can taste the salt of the sea when it splashes onto your face. It was BBQ at night. We started the fire and began fanning and after we officially begun cooking the food, I was the main fanner. I just fanned there and it was super hot but surprisingly, I wasn't drooling over all the food. Then Cheryl started trying to light fires when the firestarters began to go out and she was getting all frustrated because the firestarter always goes out when she puts it in the charcoal (poor thing LOL). Here's the list of the roles we had:
Cheryl: Firestarter plus charcoal replenishment person ShiHui: Assistant for firestarter and fanner Me: Fanner and poker to test the food's quality Liyi: Cooking the chicken Qingying: Cooking the sausage Hoon: Cooking the satay Jiamin: Butterer (puts the butter on the stuff ) Peishan: waitress cum feeder Zhengliang: Cooker in the kitchen cum waitress cum feeder cum a little bit of fanner(she did a lot of things until I also got confused) Evelyn: Waitress cum feeder Yanquan: Cooker of potatoes in the kitchen Chen Juan: I think she did like a little bit of everything. Cherynn: Waitress
Then Shihui and Cheryl started burning the paper to fuel the fire and I started getting high according to Shihui just because I kept laughing. She also got high because she went crazy looking for paper materials to burn. We burnt all the paper plates, tissue paper, even the empty packet drink which had smoke coming out from the straw when you burn it halfway. It was super hilarious! Then we had free food from nice neighbours and I loved the mackerel they gave! The stingray was so spicy that my tongue was on fire and I had to drink loads from the bowl of water Yanquan and Zhengliang fetched.
Then it was performance and we did 今天你要嫁给我. The seniors all laughed like mad and after that there was a lot of crying later on. Along the way, there were eventful moments. Firstly, a cockroach crawled past Cheryl and she didn't know what it was. Until she saw it moving, she said, "Eh got cockroach!" So everyone stood up and ran and started trapping the cockroach. Then it kind of disappeared. Then, some time later, the same cockroach appeared again and everyone screamed again. We finally killed it using Zhengliang's slipper (poor thing she had to wash the goo off). Then everyone started screaming again a few minutes later just because a lady approached from the back door telling us we could get charcoal from her. I thought it was a cockroach AGAIN and Cheryl thought it was a fly and the rest just screamed along when Liyi first screamed because she just got spooked out. Huishan saw the lady walking much earlier and was thinking, " Ghosts aren't that fat right?" which was totally hilarious! There was seriously loads of funny things happening in this year's chalet which made it way more enjoyable. HAHA.

DAY BEFORE CHALET!
I thought I should make a post before going off to chalet tomorrow which is in approximately another 14 hours and 16 minutes. Today's training was alright I guess except for making jiaolian ANGRY. I did not put netball as a last priority. It is only if I have things to attend which I really cannot go for, then I do not go for training. I mean I was supposed to attend a symposium today but I decided to go for training instead because I though training was more important so poor Dileen had to help me tell the teacher my absence. I feel totally apologetic towards both Dileen and jiaolian but I'm going on another family holiday in 2 weeks! It is really a FAMILY holiday and it was booked way before the holidays started! I do not want to miss training also. Before holidays started and we were sent the training schedule, I was checking it out to see how many trainings I would be missing and was figuring how I could cut down on those.
Learned roll today. I realise I have a bad habit (pointed out) of dragging my feet. No wonder my shoes always spoil so easily. I never realised I have it. I mean when I walk I don't drag my feet AT ALL. This is just so ironic.
Lunch was at IMM. We ate at BK although I wanted to eat at SUBWAY but the queue was just too unbearable for an impatient person like me. Felt a little hungry after that though because we got cheated on the portion of the onion rings (so LITTLE!). Went to shop for warm fuzzy gifts and gift for agm next week with Cheryl and Jocelyn. GEEZ. It was such a hard time trying to go gift-hunting. I still think vouchers are most practical although I would have liked to give one but I didn't. So sorry to the rest of them (hoon, qying, jiamin, liyi, yanquan, peishan, huikin, liying, liqin)who waited at BK for us to finish gift-hunting. UGH. I'm very inexperienced in finding gifts I realised.
Hoon, Yanquan, Cheryl, Jiamin, Liyi and Peishan came to my house after that though they went to Daily Scoop before that. I didn't buy any ice-cream though Peishan bought green tea with red bean and Jiamin bought xmas pudding (one of my faves). I'm POOR. Ate other stuff at my house though. CHOCS. PRAWN STICKS. FISH BISCUITY THING. PILLOWS? Finished decorating the gifts for tomorrow and Hoon and Peishan in performance comm managed to finish making some of the props. It has been quite an accomplished day.
I also watched last episode of Romantic Princess just now and the ending wasn't all that fantastic either. I realised after watching all dramas that the endings are all not nice at all. Prince Hours ending was so unrevealing. So was Romantic Princess ending. Princess Hours just left it hanging there so I'm desperately waiting for the sequel though it's not coming coz of all the sueing. Hana Kimi (tw)ending was just too anti-climax and there's NO SEQUEL. !!!! I want to watch The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince! It's going to be on channel u but at 10pm at night and is only starting on dec 31. This means it will be showing during school term and how am I supposed to watch by then?! I also want to watch Hwang Jin Yi but I just missed the 1st episode on Sunday. SIGH. I wanted to watch Witch Yoo Hee but then I already missed so many episodes so I won't feel satisfied even if I start watching now because I missed out on many things.
Holidays are coming to an end. I'm facing it with mixed feelings. GEEZ.

council uniform fitting, lunch and outing
I went for council uniform fitting in the morning and was late! Mom was going through the vocab stuff with me in the morning so I went out a little later than usual but my missing the bus really pushed the limits of time. I waited real long and after I boarded, I was stuck in this stupid jam. Anyway, I had to bring home the blazer thing and bring to council camp. I think it's weird though to bring something like that to a camp.
After that, Dileen and I went to the library to kill time till 12nn for lunch. We just went to the top floor to use the computer and I was checking out facebook (which I hadn't in ages) and checking the weather forecast (just in case we might go ecp later) and blog reading. It got kind of boring for Dileen but I was quite happy with some time to relax.
Lunch was pizza but we had to wait quite long for it to arrive. I ate 2 slices of it and I was still hungry (no surprises there). We just talked here and there...then the seniors kept asking us to go watch movie.
In the end, I went with Peishan, Yuna, Nicolette, Kayyun, Jenyi, Wenqi and the 3 seniors (vernice louisa hernhern) to ps to watch enchanted. But we missed the time slot by a bit so we walked to cathay. Anyway the movie was quite hilarious so I quite enjoyed it though I would not say its very interesting and stuff. Just kind of comedy. Peishan was crazy throughout the outing so she had to suffer our bullying (muahahaha). We ate ben&jerry's ice-cream YAY! Long time never eat that. I LOVE BEN&JERRY'S ICECREAM!
Went home after that. I'm exhausted right now.

NEW SKIN
Hehe. I changed my blogskin again. My blog is always dead but I like to keep changing skins. I also dunno why but never mind. This skin looks hilarious so I decided to use it. I know zexin LOVES elmo! HAHAA. Nothing much happened really. We are going to have chalet next week. But this also reminds me of council camp. Oh well. Holidays are coming to an end soon and I haven't finished all the homework. How SAD right?

I'm Yu Xuan and fifteen this year. This means I'm sadly not entitled to many things. My life is under control currently (thanks to my very practical and sensible parents). I may appear sensible to you but you must never judge a book by its cover.
